Although pools are relatively rare in Seattle, they are a love hate choice. This family decided to abandon the pool maintenance requirements and avoid an expensive equipment upgrade. Terrain helped them through the design and permit process of removing the pool and filling it up correctly. Due to a site designated critical area by the city, Terrain worked closely with Geo-tecs to ensure that the underground water flow was planned for and mitigated. Terrain retained a charming original stone wall to provide a accent backdrop against the new flat and very useable yard. Large cast in place concrete pavers provide a edge and define the transition from the refined landscape to the greenbelt.
